Wake up...It's 4:30
So I got a job for the remaining part of the summer. I'm actually working at my mom's job, yeah, kind of strange. It's really boring, numb-minding work, but its work. However, getting up early in the morning is really rough. My first day of work started at 6, so I had to wake up at like 4:30. Let me tell you that was rough considering my usually bedtime for the summer is roughly 3 or 4. Yeah, good stuff right there.
Other possible good news. I went to an interview for a job at a new barnes and nobles that is opening up in altamonte. I wanted to get a job there part time during the semester. Anyway, I went last tuesday for the interview and they said they would call us back this week sometime. Fast forward to today...I got home from work and there was a message, they want me to come back for a second interview....Yippeee! So I may actually have a good chance at getting this job. I've always wanted to work at a bookstore...I love books! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but keep your fingers crossed.
There is also talk of a trip down to the miami/keys area before I go back to school. I really, really would like to go but I'm not sure my finances will allow me to indulge in the trip. I will keep you posted.
I also must say that I'm extremely thrilled that Florida brought back tax free week. I love this idea not only because we don't have to pay taxes on clothes, shoes, and school stuff but also because everyone has massive sales. I went to old navy the other day, I'm addicted if you haven't already guessed, and saved over $20 with discounts and no sales tax. Good times!
While I'm on the subject, I think malls are like black holes. It seems like no matter how hard I try to stay away from them I get sucked in. For instance, last night I went out with jenny and wendy. The plan was to go to dinner at my favorite place Cracker Barrel and to go play putt-putt or bowling or something to that effect. What happened? Yes, that's right, we ended up at the mall. Rewind to saturday, I was found at the mall participating in the tax free shopping. Rewind even farther and you will see me on thursday night eating at Ruby Tuesdays found within the mall. I think along with the mall addiction I may need to cut back on the eating out thing. My pants appear to be shrinking, damn pants.
Funny story. I called jenny yesterday after I got off work to see what we were doing that night. So I call her and this is the conversation that followed.
Me: "hey Jenny! What's Up?"
Jenny: " Can I call you back my car just stopped"
Me: "Yeah"
click
few minutes later
ring, ring
Me: "Jenny? Is everything okay?"
Jenny: "My car just stopped in the road. Some guys helped me push it out of the way. I don't know what happened....blah, blah, blah."
Me: " did it just stop?"
Jenny: " No, it slowed down and then stopped. I don't know what's wrong with it. My dad's on his way. I don't what happened" Jenny is freaking out at this point.
Me: "Jenny, you ran out of gas."
Jenny: " No, I think I had enough. It is low but I don't think that's it"
Few minutes later....
Jenny: "I ran out of gas."
In jenny's words "Everyone runs out of gas at least once in their lives" You Rock Jenny!

Hehe. That was an ordeal - glad you were there. I still hold to the belief that everyone runs out of gas at one point or another.
Lots-a-luv
