Serena vs. Stairs Round 2

So I believe it is time to procrastinate a little and do a update on the happenings of Serena...so here goes.

The beginning of this week I had another round with the stairs, my favorite friend. It was raining and I've become accustomed to making sure I am very careful going down the stairs outside work when it is raining. The first couple of times I made sure that I was careful, observant, and slow. It proved to be a great tactic as I managed to avoid falling every single time, which is quite a feat for me. So I had finally conquered the mighty stairs, or so it seemed. As I was leaving to go to class I again took the stairs and unfortunately this time I was not so lucky. I ended up on my butt, yet again. So I got to attend class with a wet and bruised butt. Darn stairs.

The other night I had this dream that I was going bald. It was a very frightening dream and vivid. I woke up in the morning feeling my hair and making sure everything was where it should be...indeed it was.

I think I'm getting old. I can no longer stay up really late. Last semester I was able to stay up until the wee hours of the night. Now, I can barely make it until 12 and even that is a struggle. Not only that, I can no longer sleep in until 12 or 1 in the afternoon. 9:30 is about the latest time I can sleep in...so sad.

Halloween in coming up....Yippppeeeee! I'm going trick-o-treating and to halloween horror nights. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Have you noticed there are two types of people. Those who can brush their teeth without slobbering all over the place and those who cannot. I'm a cannot. I manage to get toothpaste all over my hand and all over the place if I'm not carefully. However, I am setting a new goal for myself...I shall become a neat toothbrusher. I've given myself a somewhat reasonable amount of time to accomplish this goal...by the time I graduate so I believe I can do it. It will take patience, practice, and dedication but one day I will be able to walk around and brush my teeth. A nobel goal if I do say so myself.

The other night I sat down and watched the movie amelie. I really like that movie for some reason. I think I connect with the main character in some strange way. We both appreciate the simple things in life. I'm overjoyed when the commons serves carved turkey, my favorite meal of the week. I love hush puppies...they had those today. I love those new icebreaker things that have mints in one section and gum in another because sometimes you feel like a mint and other times you don't. I love chewing gum and molding it to my teeth. I love bananas that are at the perfect ripeness. I love honey whole wheat bagels toasted with turkey. I love jumping into my bed at night and burying under the covers. I could probably go on and on, but I won't

I want a little kitten for our room. I actually think it would be doable. More on this topic at a later point in time.

I discovered this bump on my head about a month ago and it is still there. Its a relatively large bump and it feels like a bone. However, there is no bump on the other side. It is starting to worry me. I hope its not a tumor.

In case anyone wanted to know...it is better to take a bunch of small doses of vitamin c throughout the day rather than taking one large dose because your body can only absorb so much and the rest is lost through urine.

Fall time is upon us right now. Another reason to be happy!

I have a new plant. This is the son of Bob the plant, who do to circumstances beyond my control transpired over the summer. Thus, Bob Jr. has filled the vacant spot of Bob. He appears to be doing really well.

Our turtles are so cute. They love the filter thing where the water pours out. Its like a miniature waterfall and they spend hours and hours under it. They like to prop themselves up against the glass and just veg, lay like broccoli. They also enjoy hiding in the corner. My favorite, actually my two favorite things are when they stick their heads up to get air and just sit like that for awhile. I also like when they eat...open their months and chomp on the pellets or lettuce if I'm a nice mom.

I brought my futon and the egg crate to go on my futon. It is much cushier now.

Do you ever feel like you were meant to live in a different decade? I feel like that a lot of the time. I feel like I'm in the wrong decade...weird.

O, funny story. Last friday night I really wanted a freshly, baked warm chocolate cookie. You know the kind that are hot from the oven and they have that chewy, yummy goodness. As I was dreaming about this yummy goodness and then there was a knock on the door and who should be there...my RA. However, not only was it my RA but she came bearing chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven. What are the odds of that happening? Someone is listening.

I bought foamy glow-in-the-dark fishies.

They have new glow-in-the-dark candy wrappers...equally enjoyable.

I'm very gullible. I heard this story when I first went to stetson that the football team was taken off campus because one of the players died and the mom of the player made stetson promise that they would never have a football team again. I realize this is a rather dumb story, yet I believed it. Truth is we just couldn't afford it. Can you believe that. What an idiot I am.
