The break of Spring
So, spring break came and went. I ended up going to panama city with aaron, tessa, and kelsey. I would have to say the most interesting time came when we decided to go camping. We picked out a lovely site next to the water, set up our tent, and headed out to walmart to get needed supplies....food and alcohol of course. We also needed firewood as it is basic ingredient in any good fire recipe. This proved to be a huge challenge. We literally combed every nearby store looking for firewood...it ended badly. So we went the next best route...stealing wood. Our first robbery was behind a store. However, my car was already loaded with groceries and camping stuff so not much wood was gathered in that attempt. Thus, we unloaded and returned for a second heist of wood. This time aaron and I found an abandoned hotel that was doing some remodeling. They had a lovely supply of scrape wood. However, said wood was right next to the main road, under a huge fluroscent sign, always a super combination. I was just waiting for a cop to stop us. But, we managed to get a whole trunkload of wood and no arrests. So our fire is going and I went to take a shower. I get back and learn there is a weird guy hiding in the bushes talking about the cops being after him. He apparently stops by our campsite 2 or 3 times and then vanishes back into the bushes where he came. Then the cops come out and start looking for him...I'm not sure they ever found him. Anyway, we all proceed to have a festive time, fire, food, and alcohol. I wish I could say that sleep soon followed but it did not. It was freaking cold that night and I couldn't ever fall asleep because of it. Plus, I kept hearing things in the water. I ended up getting out of the tent and moving to my car where it was slightly warmer. I have to say for my first real camping experience, it wasn't the best. Rest of spring break was good, hung out with friends, played mini golf, went to movies, did a giant human maze, and generally had an awesome time.
I've become addicted to books again. I ended up going to the library on monday checking out some books, never a good thing for me to do. I've already finished two of them...did I mention I have a problem.
I watched fight club for the first time tonight. It was pretty good, not exactly what I expected but still good nonetheless. I figure anything that has brad pitt with his shirt off has to be somewhat good.
I did a major cleaning of the room tonight. It was almost a spiritual experience. There is nothing like walking into a freshly cleaned room.
O, I think I may have figured a way around the edbd concert with altar bridge. Instead of going to the one on graduation, I think I'm going to go to another concert, probably in Tampa instead. I'm so excited I found a loophole through that whole thing...I was really getting pissed about missing them. But alas, all will work out.
