Mmmmmm....CAT

So quick updates to follow:

1) Currently still looking for a job.
2) Will be driving to tampa at a really early hour tomorrow to take the MCAT. Will do horrible on said MCAT because am completely unprepared.
3) Am leaning towards going to optometry school instead of medical school, yet still taking MCAT.
4) Will be taking OAT in October.
5) Really wishing I was going back to school.
6) Secretly wishing life didn't suck as much as it does at the present moment.
7) Missing said person who bruised my heart.

I hate my job....

The first day of school was even more horrible than I thought. I think I'm going to quit I just need to figure out how, if I have to give 2 weeks notice or what not. I've requested a sub for the next few days because originally they were going to have a sub but talked me into coming in today even though I didn't have any info. I can't even begin to tell you how bad it was...walking from portable to portable because I don't have a room, letting out one period 15 min early and another like 10 min late because I can't hear the bells and I don't wear a watch. KIds who wouldn't shut up to which I failed miserably at quieting them and instead gave up and just let them talk the rest of the period. If this gives you an indication of how bad some of the kids were...they went through 5 science teachers last year. Well, I think they have already gone through 1 this year....ha ha.

HOLY SHIT....

I will be teaching tomorrow. I'm going today to see my room and get books and stuff for the first time. This should be an adventure.

Okay, so I've officially been hired for the teaching position at Timber Creek. However, there are a few little snags. One, I've been unable to actually be on campus because I have to finish my pre-employment stuff, fingerprinting, drug testing, etc. Thus, I have yet to 1. see my room 2. meet any other teachers 3. Get textbooks, curriculm stuff, or anything of that nature. Here's the kicker...school starts monday...3 days away. I'm not even sure when I can actually start teaching...it may not be monday. The funny thing is I'm not really even worrying about it because there really is little I can do about it but just sort of go with the flow and hope for the best. Anyway, I go tomorrow morning to finish up this orientation stuff and after that I'm hoping to hear back from the school secretary as to what is going on. Can I say, I dislike the orange county public school system. They are very disorganized. Anyway, that is all for the time being. Will update with news as it comes in. Wish me luck!!
